Our expertise

Business and Health Consultancy is lead by a specialist in occupational medicine with more than 25 years of experience in the field. Our Lead Occupational Health Physician has experience in a number of different industries for example offices, retail, health and social care, manufacturing and service industries and has worked nationally as well as internationally.
We have worked with large multinationals as well as small organisations. 

The experience ranges from setting up occupational health in companies from scratch or improving existing occupational health arrangements.

Business and Health Consultancy is accredited by Safety, Effectiveness, Quality Occupational Health Service (SEQOHS) and compliance with set standards is regularly reviewed. SEQOHS is currently the only accreditation body for occupational health services in the UK. 

Our consultant holds memberships in the important professional bodies of occupational medicine.

Our lead medical consultant is an experienced practitioner as well as driving for improvements in occupational health and health & safety.

We pride ourselves in taking great care of our own employees as well as yours. By practicing our own advice we achieved over 10 years without a single work related accident and a sickness absence rate below 1%.

We run clinics at our consulting rooms in London and on client sites.

Our charitable commitment

We support charitable work by regular contributions to the international project Monty's Corner owned by CCE Research Alliance, supporting research on the causes of childhood cancers, focusing primarily on environmental factors. 

Monty's Corner provides advice and support not only to children with cancer but also their parents and siblings. 


Our disability commitment

We do not only advise our clients about strategies and adaptations to make workplaces workable to employees with disabilities - we practice what we preach. Business and Health Consultancy is committed to disability confident workplaces and have signed up for the support of people with disabilities.

Suicide prevention trained

In London alone more than 12 people take their own life every week. As suicide, suicide attempts and self harm are more frequent than generally talked about, we take the topic seriously. Our healthcare professionals are trained in suicide prevention. This puts them in the position to deal with any arising crisis professionally and confidently.

Our Lead Physician is trained in counselling, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy CBT, Dialectic Behaviour Therapy DBT and Mindfulness. 

Holistic approach to health and well-being

As health cannot exist in isolation we take context into account. We look at every patient within their environment and in interaction with the people around them. All these factors are taken into consideration for assessment and advice provided. 

We believe health and well-being can not fully be achieved by taking pills only. We are able to provide advice looking at various aspects of life for example physical activities, nutrition and activities fostering mental well-being.

Our consultant is not only trained in Western Medicine but also in nutrition as well as Traditional Chinese Medicine and yoga.

In accordance with our quality assurance program 10% of all reports are audited each month for compliance with set criteria. The audit shows over 99% of reports having complied with reporting standard in full. All reports met at least 18 of 19 criteria.

As per our quality assurance program 10% of reports are audited each month regarding compliance with set reporting criteria. 100% of reports met the 19 report criteria set by the Faculty of Occupational Medicine and General Medical Council in full.
